Why We’re Building More New Homes in Huntsville
Davidson Homes is excited to announce we are expanding into more communities in Huntsville, Alabama, confirming our commitment to the city we call home by providing buyers with great new homes at affordable prices. Plans are still being finalized, but we expect to begin building in at least seven new communities, which will represent our largest expansion effort in the area.
Our company has come a long way since we built our first home in Priceville ten years ago. Last year, we expanded into our first market outside Alabama – in Middle Tennessee – and we are now building in six communities near Nashville, one of the country’s fastest-growing cities. We’ve also entered the North Carolina market, where we are building in several communities around Raleigh. So far this year, we have celebrated 500 closings and are on pace to hit 1,000 in 2020.
Economic growth = more new homes in Huntsville
The Huntsville region, however, will always be home, and it’s why we’re doubling down on our commitment to build more new homes in our market. Why? It’s simple: We love it here. Huntsville and the surrounding area are experiencing the kind of growth that will positively affect our community for generations. A report by Huntsville TV station WAAY said there are “more than a dozen economic development projects that will result in around 6,000 new jobs in Huntsville and North Alabama,” and that an estimated $4.1 billion for economic development “has been committed to in the last year.”
Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA is investing $1.6 billion to build a new automobile manufacturing facility in Limestone County. Facebook announced last year that it will invest $750 million to build a data center in Huntsville, resulting in the addition of 100 high-paying jobs. Those are just two examples of global innovation leaders that recognize the value of doing business in our city.
Huntsville’s excellent quality of life is recognized around the country
Civic and business leaders remain committed to attracting quality companies that provide high-paying jobs – and the results are paying off. Livability ranked Huntsville number three on its list of “Up-and-Coming Tech Hotspots.” U.S. News ranked our city the seventh best place to live in the country.
Increasing our investment in Huntsville not only makes business sense; it’s our way of contributing to our city’s economic growth and job creation. We remain committed to the Huntsville region and to supporting our thriving community. The first 10 years have been amazing for Davidson Homes and we look forward to serving Huntsville as its premier new home builder for many, many years to come.
