Houston Habitat for Humanity and Davidson Homes Celebrate Robins Landing Grand Opening

On June 27, 2026, we celebrated the grand opening of Section 2 at Robins Landing alongside our partners at Houston Habitat for Humanity. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, model home tours, and a community celebration, with city representatives and neighbors joining in to welcome the next phase of one of Northeast Houston's most distinctive communities.

Visitors spent the morning touring two newly completed model homes, each showcasing a different floor plan available in Section 2, and exploring the neighborhood's park and trails to see how Robins Landing continues to grow. For many, it was a chance to see firsthand how the new section connects to the homes and families already settled into Section 1 next door.

Expanding Access Through Robins Landing

Robins Landing is a Habitat for Humanity–led, mixed-income community on 127 acres in Northeast Houston, with convenient access to the 610 Loop, Beltway 8, I-69, and US-90. The community is designed to expand access to homeownership while integrating essential services and shared neighborhood resources.

Section 1 is already home to residents who moved in over the past year, and Section 2 adds new single-family homes built by our team alongside the community's continued amenities, including:

  • 12 acres of park space with hike and bike trails
  • A neighborhood resilience hub
  • The Legacy Community Health Clinic
  • A 2.2-acre urban farm
  • A public library branch and community services

Davidson Homes serves as Houston Habitat's partner builder at Robins Landing, constructing the homes that turn the initiative's goal — helping more families become homeowners — into reality.

"What drew us in was the chance to be part of something with real purpose," said Mark Eubanks, our Houston Division President. "When Habitat, the City of Houston, and the other partners are aligned around a goal like that, it's exactly the kind of work we want to support."

"A lot of communities offer amenities," Eubanks said. "Robins Landing goes further by building everyday essentials right into the neighborhood."

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

For Eubanks, this milestone is only part of the story. "It's being developed in phases, so residents are already settling into the first sections while construction continues nearby," he said. "What's most rewarding is knowing these homes give people the opportunity to build equity over time and create lasting stability."

Houston Habitat for Humanity marked the occasion with its own message of gratitude toward its builder partner, crediting Davidson Homes with helping deliver not just quality homes, but real opportunities for more Houston families to reach homeownership.
